Bringing a global expertise to SOM’s San Francisco office, Craig Hartman has been recognized with over 200 awards for design including 10 National Honor Awards, the highest honor for individual project design bestowed by the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Notable projects include SFO’s International Terminal, the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, Harvard University’s Northwest Science Building, Oakland’s Cathedral of Christ the Light, the new Los Angeles Federal Courthouse, the 2019 expansion of San Francisco’s Moscone Center, multiple international urban towers and entire urban districts such as the Beijing Finance Street—China’s “Wall Street”—the expansion of the city of Guangzhou, and the masterplan to transform San Francisco’s Treasure Island. 

LAUREN ROTTET, FOUNDING PRINCIPAL

With over 40 million square feet of experience, Lauren Rottet has created beautifully engaging interiors for several elite residential projects, such as New York’s Central Park Tower, as well as many of the Fortune 100 Companies, including Goldman Sachs, Disney, and GE, elevating herself to one of the most celebrated interior architects in the world today. She is the only woman in history to be elevated to Fellow status by both the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the International Interior Design Association. She also holds the coveted titles of Interior Design Hall of Fame and Interiors (now Contract) Designer of the Year and Lifetime Appointee to the U.S. General Services Administration’s National Register of Peer Professionals for Design Excellence. In 2006, Rottet was inducted as an Inaugural Member of the Women in Design Hall of Fame. In 2010, she served as a juror in the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award and in 2012 was named “Designer of the Year” by Boutique Design. Most recently, in 2014, Rottet was inducted into Hospitality Design magazine’s legendary Platinum Circle, the magazine’s highest honor for design professionals. Rottet’s furniture and product designs have earned her four gold medals for Best of NeoCon and a Chicago Athenaeum Award.
